FAQs
Wondering how inTouch works? You’re not alone — below are the answers families often ask us.
You can start with a free trial. Set up your parent’s profile with their favorite topics and preferred times. You can change call times, frequency, or pause anytime. The first 14 days are completely free so you can try it without any worry.
inTouch is already bringing conversations to families in over 90 countries in English and French (contact us at welcome@intouch.family if you would like another language) Wherever your loved one is, we’re here to help create moments of connection that brighten their day.
Yes — and it’s creating meaningful moments every day. One family tells us their 101-year-old mother now shares stories from her childhood she’d never spoken about before. Another says their dad, who’s living with memory challenges, lights up with every call. These are more than conversations — they’re moments of connection that stay with both generations.
Yes. The calls are protected by strong security measures. We never share or sell data. We only use conversation analysis to make each call warmer and more relevant.
If we notice a shift in your parent’s mood, energy, or behavior, we’ll let you know gently through the app. It can be hard to sense these things from a distance, so we’re here to help you stay in touch with how they’re really doing — not just what they say, but how they seem to feel.
Yes. After each call, you’ll get a short, friendly update in the app — a quick glimpse into what your parent talked about and how they were feeling. If they happen to miss a few calls in a row, you’ll see that too. It’s a gentle way to stay connected, even when you’re busy.
That’s absolutely okay. Some days are quiet days, and we fully respect that. If your parent isn’t in the mood, we simply try again later or another day — there’s never any pressure. The calls are always gentle, and always on their terms.
Every conversation is shaped by what your parent enjoys — from gardening and family stories, books, or travel. Over time, we learn what makes them light up, and we build on that. The calls can be lighthearted, reflective, or simply fun. We also gently include helpful topics when relevant, like how to handle scam calls or unwanted phone numbers. It’s always a conversation they can feel comfortable in — and look forward to.
inTouch is for families who want to stay close, even when life pulls them in many directions. It’s especially helpful for those balancing work, children, and caring for aging parents — when time is limited, but love is not. inTouch offers peace of mind for you, and meaningful connection for them — creating small, joyful moments that truly make a difference.
Yes — there’s nothing new for them to learn. inTouch calls them on their mobile or landline, whichever they already use. They don’t need an app, a device, or any steps to follow. The phone simply rings, and they answer, just like any other call. It feels natural and familiar, even for those who aren’t comfortable with technology. Most of all, it’s a moment that feels easy — and good.
Not at all. inTouch is here for the moments in between — when life gets full and you can’t always be there. It keeps your parent engaged and uplifted between your calls, and often gives you new things to talk about together. Think of it as a gentle bridge: not a replacement, but a way to help your connection stay strong, even when time is short.
Many families wonder that at first — and we understand. But most older adults feel at ease within the first few seconds. That’s because every inTouch call is designed to feel like a natural conversation with someone their age: thoughtful, warm, and genuinely interested. No robotic voices. No pressure. Just a gentle voice that listens, asks kind questions, and gives them space to talk — or pause — at their own pace.
Some days, you just can’t find the time to cal or visitl — and when you finally do, there’s that quiet feeling: has it been too long? inTouch helps fill those gaps with gentle, friendly conversations your parent can look forward to. It’s a way to bring warmth and companionship into their day — especially when life pulls you in many directions. It’s not just for them. It’s for you, too.
inTouch is a service that helps you stay connected to your parent — even when life is busy. We make warm, thoughtful phone calls to your parent — real conversations that brighten their day and help them feel connected. There’s nothing for them to learn or install — just a familiar voice on their mobile or landline, at a time that works for them. You don’t have to do it all — inTouch helps you care, even from a distance.
Don't worry - if a call is missed, we'll try again at another convenient time during the day. You'll receive a notification through the app about the missed call and the rescheduled time. Absolutely! During the sign up to InTouch you can specify particular topics of discussion. After the initial calls, the topics of conversation will evolve depending on past calls with your parent and whichever topics sparked their interest.
Getting started is simple: Visit www.inTouch.family and click "Start Free Trial." Enter your details for a completely free first week with no charges. Start with something like, "Mum/Dad, I found a great service that offers daily friendly calls on topics you enjoy, like gardening, recipes, or stories." Reassure them that they can choose when they’d like to receive the calls, that their privacy is fully respected, and that the chats are tailored to their interests. Emphasize that this is an addition to your regular calls, not a replacement. Let them know that these calls help keep their mind active and keep you updated through the app.
The calls between your parent and inTouch are protected by our privacy policy. In short, we do not share the data and access it only for quality assurance or data analysis purposes. inTouch automatically analyzes the tone of voice and the words used in the conversation to determine your parent's mood and identify the most positive topics of discussion. We do not share the data with anyone, we do not sell it, and we ensure it is protected by world-standard security measures.
